England Beat Sri Lanka 2-1 in the ODIs, Sealed by 223 Runs at The Oval
Will Jacks took five wickets at Chester le Street, Kusal Mendis levelled it at Headingley, and Tom Banton's 126 decided it in London.
England finished Sri Lanka's tour with a 2-1 win in the one day series, to go with the 3-0 they won in the T20Is earlier in September. Will Jacks was player of the series.
1st ODI, Chester le Street, 22 September: England won by 89 runs
England were bowled out for 265 in 48.1 overs. Harry Brook made 67 and Jacks added 46 not out.
Sri Lanka were all out for 176 in 37 overs. Jacks took 5/22, the best figures of his ODI career, and was player of the match.
2nd ODI, Headingley, 24 September: Sri Lanka won by 16 runs
Sri Lanka's captain Kusal Mendis made 121, sharing a stand of 137 for the second wicket with Kamindu Mendis, who made 54. Sri Lanka reached 321/6.
England looked well placed. Ben Duckett made 67 and Tom Banton 73, and at one point they needed only 63 from the last ten overs. Dunith Wellalage took three wickets, Duckett, Banton and Brook among them, and Sri Lanka's bowlers held England to 305/9. The series was level.
3rd ODI, The Oval, 27 September: England won by 223 runs
The decider was not close. Banton made 126 from 105 balls and Brook 77 from 66, and England posted 355/7. Asitha Fernando took 4/84 for Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka were bowled out for 132 in 29.1 overs. Kusal Mendis top scored with 35. Banton was player of the match.
