Australia Rest Their Fast Bowlers, England Bring Back Salt: The T20I Squads for 21 November
Mitchell Marsh leads an Australia squad without Pat Cummins or Josh Hazlewood, Harry Brook leads England, and the five match series starts at the MCG.
Australia and England have both named their squads for the five match T20I series that starts at the MCG on Saturday 21 November.
Australia (14)
Mitchell Marsh (captain), Xavier Bartlett, Mahli Beardman, Nikhil Chaudhary, Tim David, Joel Davies, Jack Edwards, Nathan Ellis, Jake Fraser-McGurk, Sam Harper, Spencer Johnson, Mitch Owen, Lachlan Shaw, Adam Zampa.
Sam Harper and Lachlan Shaw are uncapped. Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood are rested, and Mitchell Starc has retired from T20Is. Jake Fraser-McGurk returns for his first T20I since July 2025. Nathan Ellis has a side strain and misses the ODIs that come first, but is expected to be fit for the T20Is. Travis Head, Josh Inglis, Cameron Green and Cooper Connolly are in the ODI squad only.
England (16)
Harry Brook (captain), Tom Banton, Jacob Bethell, James Coles, Jordan Cox, Henry Crocombe, Sam Curran, Liam Dawson, Aneurin Donald, Eddie Jack, Will Jacks, Jamie Overton, Adil Rashid, Thomas Rew, Phil Salt, Luke Wood.
